Clear aligners use 3-D computer imaging technology to depict the complete treatment plan of the initial position to the final desired position of teeth, from which a series of custom-made clear aligners are produced. Each aligner moves teeth and is worn for about two weeks, then is replaced by the next in the series until the final position is achieved.
When we meet a patient who has mild cosmetic dental concerns, we like to discuss with them the benefits of clear aligners. Clear aligners can adjust teeth that may be uneven, crowded, or even suffer from poor bite. They work without requiring metal wires or brackets and rely on clear thermoplastic trays to be successful.
